Boston Sand and Gravel Art Print

A familiar sight for anyone driving into Boston, the Boston Sand & Gravel building sits boldly next to the Zakim Bridge, its giant lettering impossible to miss. I’ve spent countless hours staring at this industrial landmark while sitting in traffic on I-93, it's bold typography definitely making it a Boston icon. I found out while painting it that Boston Sand & Gravel (est. 1914) has played a role in shaping the city for generations, supplying concrete and aggregate for major construction projects—including Boston’s famous Big Dig!

I created this artwork using Posca and Molotow acrylic markers as part of my Boston Landmarks series, inspired by places that feel rooted in tradition yet full of life. Printed on 100# Cover Textured Matte paper for a rich, fine art finish.
